Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use a communication band on the communication route of an ATM network. SOLUTION: When all nodes 21 to 24, 26 and 27 on the communication route can not secure the band of a declared value for the delaration of the communication band of a call origination terminal 20, the respective nodes hold a band x usable between the present node and a rear-order node and the band y informed from the rear-order node and usable in the route after the rearorder node and inform a front-order node of the band of a smaller value among the bands x and y as the band usable in the rearorder route. As a result, since connection is made possible even when only the band smaller than the declared band is obtained, call loss is not caused, the communication band is enlarged by the release of other calls and thus, the communication band is efficiently utilized. (57)【要約】 【課題】 ATM網の通信ルート上における通信帯域を 効率良く使用する。 【解決手段】 発信端末20の通信帯域の申告に対し通 信ルート上の全ノード21〜24,26,27が申告値 の帯域を確保できない場合は、各ノードは、自ノードと 後位ノードの間で使用できる帯域xと後位ノードから通 知されこの後位ノード以降のルートで使用できる帯域y を保持し、帯域x,yのうち値の小さい帯域を後位ルー トで使用できる帯域として前位ノードに通知する。この 結果、申告帯域より小さい帯域しか得られなくても接続 が可能になるため呼損を生じなく、また他の呼の解放に より通信帯域を拡大することもでき、従って通信帯域を 効率良く利用できる。
